- Slice your sub rolls in half lengthwise but don’t cut all the way through; this helps them hold all those delicious fillings without falling apart. If you prefer a little crunch, lightly toast the insides before filling them.
- Start stacking your chosen meats in layers: begin with chicken ham followed by turkey slices and turkey pepperoni (or capicola). Add roast beef if desired. Tuck in slices of provolone or mozzarella cheese between layers. Top with sliced banana peppers and red onion.
- Mix melted butter with Italian seasoning and garlic powder; brush the tops of the rolls with this mixture. Drizzle a bit of Italian dressing inside each sandwich. Wrap each sub in foil and bake at 375°F (190°C) for about 15 minutes until heated through and cheese is melted.
- Unwrap the sandwiches from foil, slice into portions if desired, and serve immediately.
