Method

Prepare the Dough

  2. Add flour, salt, and olive oil to the yeast mixture. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
Roast the Garlic
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Cut the top off the garlic head, drizzle with olive oil, wrap in foil, and roast for 30-35 minutes.
  3. Once cool, squeeze out the roasted garlic cloves into a bowl and mash them with a fork.
Assemble the Pizza
  1. Preheat the pizza stone in the oven at 475°F (245°C).
  2. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
  3. Spread tomato sauce over the dough, then add the mashed roasted garlic, mozzarella slices, and chopped basil.
  4. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with red pepper flakes if desired.
Bake the Pizza
  1. Transfer the pizza to the preheated pizza stone and bake for 12-15 minutes until the crust is golden and cheese is bubbly.
