  • 1 lb ground beef or Italian sausage
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese grated
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
Sauce
  • 2 cups marinara sauce store-bought or homemade

Method

Prepare the Pasta
  1. Boil a large pot of salted water. Cook the jumbo pasta shells according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
Make the Filling
  1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked beef, ricotta cheese, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, egg, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
Stuff the Shells
  1. Fill each cooked pasta shell with the meat and cheese mixture. Place the stuffed shells in a baking dish.
Bake
  1. Pour marinara sauce over the stuffed shells, ensuring they are well covered. Sprinkle additional mozzarella cheese on top if desired.
  2. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
Serve
