Mix together the orange juice, olive oil, honey, water, sugar, ground cinnamon, ground clove, nutmeg, vanillin powder or vanilla extract, orange zest, baking soda, fine semolina, all-purpose flour, and baking powder in a large bowl until you achieve a smooth dough consistency.
Take small portions of the dough and shape them into oval forms about the size of an egg. Place them on a lined baking tray.
Preheat your oven to approximately 180°C (350°F). Bake the shaped cookies for about 20 minutes or until lightly golden brown on top.
Prepare the syrup by combining sugar, honey, water, stick of cinnamon, dried cloves, and orange peel in a saucepan over medium heat. Bring it to a gentle boil and let it simmer for about ten minutes until slightly thickened.
Once baked and still warm, immerse each cookie into the prepared syrup briefly to absorb some sweetness.
After soaking, place your cookies on a serving platter, drizzle with more honey if desired, and sprinkle ground walnuts on top.
